So basically, long story short, Paypal employees took my credit card/bank account info and decided to go on a spending spree. While my bank covers the loss (supposively), I transferred all my funds out and closed my Paypal account. Once the security has been compromised…not going to trust that kind of service. I’m not saying other people shouldn’t, but just be wary of them.

That’s a terrifying story. What did Paypal have to say? It sounds like they should be the ones covering the loss, at the very least.

Nothing. My bank acquired reimbursement from the various merchants that the person bought stuff from, but Paypal was never held accountable. I’ll have to make sure to have a separate account dedicated only to Paypal, so that if the info is stolen they can only trace it back to an empty account.
